Name: Swedish Riichi Championship 2024
Date: 16-17 November 2024
Rules: EMA Riichi Competition Rules (RCR) - latest edition (2016)
Number of participants: max 60 players. (60 registered players from 7 countries). In case the maximum number of registrations is reached we will keep a waiting list.
Venue: Midsommargården (Stora salen)

Registration Fee: 500 SEK or 45€ - There is no lunch included in the fee.
Payment Deadline: We will have a payment deadline of 1st of November. Cancellations after this date will not be refundable. Information on how to pay will be provided after registration .

Accomodation

Hotels:

We do not supply any specific recommendations for hotels;

The venue is located at the subway station Telefonplan. There are not many hotels close by but it takes only 15 minutes from central Stockholm which has plenty of options.

Arrival

By Plane:

There are 3 possible airports fairly convenient to get to Stockholm:
  • Arlanda Airport - The main airport, and the most convenient one to get to Stockholm from. The fastest method is to take the express train to central. But there is also the option of a commuter train or a Bus coach (flygbussarna.se) to the central station. Observe that the commuter trains have an extra fee bound to them from the airport.
  • Bromma Airport - The secondary airport, easiest from here would be a Bus coach (flygbussarna.se) to the central station. If you are fine with walking about 15 minutes then you can take local transport.
  • Skavsta Airport - Located in Nyköping but still marked as Stockholm according to airlines. Currently it has only Wizzair since Ryanair has started operating from Arlanda, but the flights are cheap. To get from here the Bus coach (flygbussarna.se) to Stockholm central station is practically the only option.

Local transit:

All the local transit (commuter train, subway and busses) are handled by SL.
You cannot pay by Cash in the train or bus.

There is a 3 days option that could be cheaper depending on planned use.
